Tangrams have been around for a very long time in China. The first time that the tangram reached the Western world was around 1815 - 1820. The were also very popular in Germany around 1891 - 1920.
What is a tangram? It’s a type of puzzle that you create using only seven different uniform flat shapes called “tans”. There are many different shapes/puzzles you can create using your tans. Here are a few of our favorites.
