Easter Puzzle Hunt

Traditionally our family would be going out to the city sponsored egg hunt this Saturday morning. But with everything that is going on with staying home and staying safe, we are creating our own egg hunt for the kids to keep their spirits up.

One thought that I had as we were placing some candy within the plastic eggs, “why not have something in the eggs that they can they can put together during the rest of the day?” Easiest solution… puzzles. This is a great solution also if you currently are unable to purchase Easter candy.

Of course, with my kids, we need to have something yummy inside the eggs to eat also. But, look through your stack of games and puzzles and see if there is a puzzle that the kids have not done in a while. Mix the puzzle piece eggs with the candy filled eggs throughout your yard or living room and let the kids have at it. Tip: use clear tape to ensure that the eggs will not open during the hunt.

If you really want them to stay busy for a long time, use that 5,000 piece puzzle that took mom a month to complete last time she did it!
