Your Den Shield

Shields have been around for many years. A shield was part of your daily attire if you were a knight in the Middle Ages. Not only did your shield protect you from battle, but it told others of your history, your family, your accomplishments, and what you stood for. Shields back int he day had many different shapes and were made out of many different things ranging from wood, leather, wicker, and metal.

Tiger Adventure: Good Knights

This adventure has us making our own shield. Here are a few different shapes of shields that we could find. Make your shield out of cardboard and embellish it with pictures or drawings of things that you like to do. You hobbies, sports, scouts, etc. Also include on your shield items about your family, where you come from, or your own personal values.
