Compass Rose

The compass rose can be found on a compass, nautical charts, and maps. It’s purpose is to display the orientation of the cardinal directions along with the multiple points in between. Different map makers would embellish the rose to make it their own… but no matter how fancy or plain the rose looks they all serve the same purpose. To point to North, East, South, and West.
